The Human Rights Institute (HRI) conducts interdisciplinary investigations and analysis of complex, marginalized, and emerging human rights issues. We work with civil society around the world to expose abuse, collect and analyze evidence for advocacy, and provide expert testimony in trials. We bring together impacted communities and leading experts in public health, data science, psychology, remote sensing, forensics, environmental science, and other fields to build the power of citizens to bring about change. HRI works alongside rightsholders to analyze the human rights impacts of developments, policies, and laws, and strives to educate the public and shape reforms to improve human rights.
