TrialWatch initiative publishes a report on the trial of Turkish academic Tuna Ahmed Altinel

Aug. 17, 2020: The TrialWatch initiative published a report on the trial of Turkish academic Tuna Ahmed Altinel, charged with offenses under Turkey's anti-terrorism law for organizing an event on human rights abuses. Mr. Altinel was acquitted, and the report expert, Professor René Provost, gave the trial a "C" grade. The Columbia Human Rights Institute co-authored this report with the Clooney Foundation for Justice.
