Emma Kaishian
Prior to joining the Clinic, Kaishian was a Program Coordinator for Columbia World Projects. She managed an interdisciplinary team from Columbia working on the project: Leveraging Policy to Improve Maternal Mortality in the Fourth Trimester. During her graduate program, Kaishian served as the President of Women 4 Women and was selected to be an Equity Fellow to analyze school-wide policies. She was also the Social Determinants of Health Impact Intern at United Way where she used QGIS mapping to highlight disparities within local communities to inform relevant programming. As a Graduate Research Assistant, Kaishian liaised between State Health Departments and stakeholders to generate a survey to assess health care access, barriers, and needs of people one year postpartum.
Kaishian holds a B.S. in Exercise Science, Pre-Health from Manhattan College and an MPH in Health Policy and Management with an Advanced Certificate in Child, Youth, and Family Health from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health.
