The Human Rights Institute (HRI) advocates at local, national, and international levels to prevent, end, and remedy abuse. We use and innovate a range of tactics, strategies, and theories of change, from inside track to media agenda-setting, impact litigation, and community organizing. Working in partnership with civil society groups, we co-design advocacy strategies tailored to the specific needs and circumstances of each case. Our work seeks to both respond to immediate harms and transform the underlying structural causes of abuse.
